Record Store Day – 19/02/13

All news ›

Some of you may know I am a huge supporter of physical record shops and I co-ordinate Record Store Day for the UK. During the last six years I have always worked in stores on the third Saturday of April to help celebrate the special place these stores occupy in their local community. This year I’ll be releasing 5 very special ltd editions which will only be available in independent record retailers.

So what do we have in store for you……

Antoni Maiovvi – Yellow: Original Music From The Short Film

Musically deeply indebted to Italo Disco, Belgian New Beat, Experimental Electronics and the blood-soaked soundtracks of the 70s and 80s, Antoni Maiovvi describes his sound as Horror Disco. A fitting title if ever there was one…

Horror Business – Steve Moore

You know him as the man behind Zombi & Gianni Rossi, for his score to the documentary Horror Business he has gone ‘Full Italian’ this means the score could easily grace the films of Fulci or Argento , it’s authentic, thrilling & we are over the moon to be able to work with one of our favorite contemporary artists.

  1. Are these all UK only or will these be available in the US for Record Store Day?

  2. Will this be available in the States? Jeremy Wheeler lives in my city and we would love to be able to stock this for RSD. Thanks – Matt Bradish, Underground Sounds Ann Arbor, Michigan.
